Soul Weekender

Due to St Ives Guildhall undergoing refurbishment in 2023/24, the Soul On Wax crew joined forces with the Soul Mafia to bring you one massive soul weekender at the former ex-Pontins site, known as, Sand Bay Holiday Village. The camp has undergone extensive renovations to bring it up to an acceptable standard for a great weekend away.

In 2023 we sorted out the final details, which included the fantastic SOULUTIONS live on stage on Saturday night. We also put together a fabulous line up of Top UK Soul Spinners including, Colin Curtis, Soul Sam, Ted Massey, Mick H, Chris Box, Trowbridge Matt, Paul Garland, Taz, Dean Carr, Nige Graham, Martin Shaw, Tom Yule, Laurence Cullen, Trevor Nolan, Sid Pratt, Don Palmer, Chris Stretch, Mark Cadwallader, Dave Beckwith, Mark Oliver, Rich Brown and Mark Finch.

Our first event was a massive success with lots of people booking on site for the following year. For our summer event in 2024 we have a live performance from the Drizabone soul family, on Saturday evening. We have added a rare and underplayed room for the people who like something a little bit different.

Music Policy

Our music policy for this event includes all the Northern Soul Classics played on original vinyl only from Bill Bush to The Salvadors and many more all played in the main ballroom.

From our modern room DJ team you can expect all the the top modern soul gems and some progressive tunes from a fabulous line up of top modern room soul spinners.

For 2024 we added a rare and underplayed soul room for the real soul music Connoisseur that likes something a little bit different.

During the day the Queen Vic bar host a great selection of some of the UK's finest soul music.
